I started as a Games Operator in Denmark and over the next few years I was promoted to a supervisor and then assistant manager. After doing this successfully I was offered the job of Games Manager in Gardaland, Italy. I did this role for 3 years before being promoted to Vice President of US Operations and I’m now based in New York. Working with people from the same company from different places in the world is always a great experience, I love learning new things every day!

I started with HBL in 2016 at Movie Park in Germany it was a seasonal job via a ‘friend referral’. I worked my way up to be a site manager before relocating to the HBL central office in North Wales. I currently work in the Purchasing Department as a Purchasing Controller where I get to use my experience on the ground to forecast and order stock across the UK and Europe. This is an ideal role for me, and has taken me around the world including a trip to Vegas in 2019. I really enjoy the close-knit team we have and the opportunities to progress relatively quickly within the company.

I joined HB Leisure when I was 16 years old straight from school. My job started as a way to earn some money in the summer holidays and weekends whilst I continued at college. My career developed and I became a Cluster Manager before starting my current position in Saudi Arabia. One of the best things about working for the company is the ability to travel with work, especially the flexibility and the number of places we now operate in. I have now worked in 14 different countries. When working for HBL you get well rewarded for performance and a great opportunity for career development.

I started working for HBL in 2014 as a part-time Games Operator in Movie Park whilst studying. After my first season I was promoted to Games Supervisor and have since progressed to becoming a Games Manager. During the winter season I work at Global Village in Dubai, and at Europa Park in Germany during the summer. I work in two amazing teams and get to meet lots of fantastic people and experience many cultures and countries - I’m so glad my summer job became a career!

I joined HB Leisure because it was an international company based close to where I live after returning to North Wales after studying for my Accounting & Finance degree. HBL has a training scheme which means I can be sponsored and mentored through my exams to become a qualified accountant. My role as a Assistant Accountant is busy and varied and gives me great opportunity to learn and progress whilst dealing with a wages and invoices globally.

I started in Gardaland as a Games Operator, and after a relatively short-time I was offered the role of Assistant Manager, and 2 years later I became the Games Manager at Mirabilandia. My role isn’t that of a typical “office” manager, and I prefer to stay on the ground being more hands on meeting the daily challenges. My ambition is to manage a bigger park and always beat last year’s targets.

I started working for HBL because it offered flexibility during my study; eventually turning into a career when offered a trainee manager position after finishing college. During my trainee management scheme I had the opportunity to work in Belgium, France, Germany and the Philippines. Since becoming a Games Manager, I have managed sites in Belgium, London, Singapore and currently South Korea. There’s a great company culture at HBL built on strong working relationships with colleagues.
