HB Leisure brought smiles to the faces of more than 100 children in the Middle East after teaming up with a residential and day care charity to organise a fun day in Dubai.
The SENSES charity helps children and young adults with severe physical and learning difficulties with a variety of physical, occupational, speech and sensory integration therapies, also focusing heavily on special education, art, games and outdoor activities.
HBL collaborated with Embed on the ‘Fuel your Fun’ event, providing a soft toy for each of the 135 students as well as a few extra pieces and two giant bears – one each for the girls and boys dormitory/therapy room. The company helped with the set up and then spent the morning involved with the students in activities such as songs, dancing, party games, drawing and a bouncy castle.
The day was a massive success with HBL’s Vice President in the Middle East, Mark Braddock, and his team on site to help with the entertainment, games, arts, crafts and giveaways.
Mark said:”It’s very important to give back to the local communities we work in and it’s very rewarding for us…Seeing the smiles on the faces of the children is heart warming and the toys will give them joy long after the day has ended.”
