Yousef Wadi’s career with HBL is nothing short of extraordinary! He began his journey as a Games Operator in 2019, quickly learning the importance of customer service and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere for guests. Soon after, he took on responsibilities in stock and maintenance, gaining a deeper understanding of the behind-the-scenes operations that keep HBL running smoothly.
By 2021, Yousef had stepped into leadership roles, managing operations at major sites including U Walk, Safari, Boulevard City, and Riyadh Zoo, while also supporting large-scale events such as Winter Wonderland. These opportunities helped him sharpen his management skills and build confidence in leading diverse teams.
The year 2023 opened even bigger doors for Yousef, with him managing sites at Wonder Garden, Riyadh Zoo, Jeddah Zoo, and Boulevard World. His role expanded further in 2024 when he took charge of game setups across multiple sites, showcasing his ability to guide teams and drive performance under pressure.
Today, as Games Manager, Yousef Wadi oversees a talented team of operators and supervisors, fostering a strong, motivated culture while ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. Looking back at his journey, Yousef believes that his greatest achievement is the career path he’s built — growing from an entry-level position into a trusted leader. Among his proudest moments was leading a large team during a major event under intense pressure and achieving success together.
Deputy General Manager of KSA, Ahmed Muhamed, shared his thoughts on Yousef’s dedication: “Whenever you need someone to help, he is the first person to show up for build-up, site operations, and even help in logistics and warehouse.”
Throughout his career with HBL, Yousef has embraced challenges as opportunities to grow. Managing people from different backgrounds and working styles pushed him to adapt his leadership approach, strengthen communication, and lead by example. Handling peak season operations was another test, but by staying calm under pressure and planning ahead, he turned high-stress moments into some of the team’s best-performing days.
When asked what he loves most about working at HBL, Yousef shared:
“The opportunity to grow, lead, and make a positive impact every single day. Being able to inspire my team and continuously improve myself both personally and professionally is what keeps me passionate and motivated.”
Looking ahead, Yousef is eager to expand his role further, exploring opportunities in regional or multi-site management. Passionate about people development, he hopes to contribute more to training and mentoring the next generation of HBL leaders. He is also proud of the significant improvement in his English skills, which has boosted his confidence and opened new doors for growth. “My ultimate goal is to hold higher leadership positions in the future, and I truly thank everyone who has supported and believed in me along the way,” he remarked.
