From day one to leadership roles, we’re proud to highlight the career journey of the incredible individuals who help shape HBL. Meet Millah Percival, the Games Manager at Movie World and Sea World, Australia!
Millah Percival began working with HBL when the company opened in Australia in December 2022, starting as a Games Operator over the summer. Initially seeking a casual job for the season, she was drawn to the opportunity for travel. Millah quickly discovered a passion for the fun and energetic nature of the work, enjoying the chance to connect with staff, engage with guests, and help create a lively, memorable environment.
In April 2023, she advanced to a part-time Team Leader position, taking on greater responsibilities. When HBL opened the new Luna Park Sydney site in December 2023, Millah spent two months there as an Assistant Games Manager, helping train a brand-new team. After Sydney, Millah returned home to assume the position of Games Manager for Movie World, Gold Coast. Subsequently, in February 2025, she stepped into her current dual role of Games Manager at Movie World and Sea World.
When reflecting on her biggest accomplishments, Millah Percival highlighted her rapid progression within the company and the continuous opportunities to learn and grow each day. “Some unforgettable moments would be travelling to open new sites, such as living in Sydney for a short time, going to Taiwan, and working in the sites overseas,” she said.
Of course, every role has its challenges. For Millah, one of the trickiest parts of her job is keeping staff motivated during off-peak seasons or when poor weather affects guest numbers. Her solution? Introducing fun challenges, competitions, and bonus schemes to boost morale in the team. Millah shared that she enjoys facing new challenges and finding effective ways to manage and overcome them.
Millah Percival’s journey is a perfect example of how a fun, seasonal job in Skill Games can grow into an exciting and rewarding career with HBL. HBL is proud to celebrate everything she has accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next in her journey!
