At HBL, we take pride in recognising the dedication and hard work of our team members. This month, we shine the spotlight on Analyn Santos from the Philippines!
Analyn joined HBL on 28 April 2016, at just 24 years old, stepping into the role of Assistant Manager. Since then, she has progressed through various leadership roles, becoming a Manager and is currently an Assistant National Manager. From managing daily operations to taking on recruitment, marketing, and business development as a Manager, her role has continually evolved. Now, as an Assistant National Manager at 26 years old, she oversees multiple sites, trains and mentors managers, and implements strategies to improve overall performance.
For Analyn Santos, the most rewarding part of her job is the opportunity to grow, take on new challenges, and develop others. “Helping others advance in their careers, knowing I played a part in their growth, is my biggest accomplishment,” she shares. Over the years, she has gained valuable experience in operations, recruitment, marketing strategies, and staff training. Working with people from diverse backgrounds has broadened her perspective and strengthened her leadership skills.
Her dedication and leadership have not gone unnoticed! In 2019, she was named Best Manager of the Year worldwide, and her site was awarded Best Site of the Year. However, her success isn’t just measured by awards—it’s reflected in the growth of those she mentors. She shares that her greatest success is helping others advance in their careers and knowing she played a part in their growth.
Leadership comes with challenges, and for Analyn, managing multiple sites while balancing responsibilities can be both mentally and emotionally demanding. However, she embraces these challenges as opportunities for growth. “I stay focused, keep learning, and maintain a positive mindset,” she says. With the support of her leaders and team, she managed to overcome any obstacle in her way, and she strives to provide the same encouragement to those she mentors.
Her personal motto reflects her proactive approach to leadership: If you can do it today, don’t wait for tomorrow—you never know what might happen next. She also believes that great leaders create more leaders, seeing knowledge-sharing and mentorship as a way to build a stronger team rather than a competition.
